![]() ![]() Not all 24x1.5's are concentric enough to shoot, that's the reality of combloc manufacturing Play it safe and make sure the rod is completely centered, then check it again with another rodĪlso be prepared for disapointment. Some guys won't even dream of it unless the rod is perfectly centered, other guys I know will shoot even if it's almost touching one side. I still don't believe you can get a baffle strike on them but end caps definitely can happenĪKs are generally easy to suppress you just have to check concentricity and figure out what you're comfortable with. No biggie, I replaced the end cap and everything was good. I didn't think there was any way that a Wolverine could get a strike because of their huge inner diameter, but it did. I've had an endcap strike using a Wolverine on 's SLR107FR. I've got a couple 24x1.5s that can't handle any can of any length, and I've got about 6 or 7 I think that will run anything I've got a couple 24x1.5s that aren't concentric enough for long 223 cans but are good for short 223 K cans, or long 30 cal cans ![]() Wobbly suppressor = high likelyhood of end cap strike Loc-tite the suppressor mount to the Griffin and use witness marks to be sure the don't move. Make sure you get the Griffin on super tight and loc-tite it down. So I've had better luck with 24x1.5 FSBs than actual 14x1 direct threads when it comes to concentricity, but you do have to triple check your suppressor before you go blasting away. TX Zen will know their rep better than me, but I've even seen threaded barrels not be concentric enough for a suppressor. If not concentric, and you mount a suppressor, you can get a baffle strike. They were designed for quick/cheap manufacture, and if a little off it makes no difference for a short muzzle attachment. Beware, and test it.Īnother noob question, but how does FSB concentricity affect a suppressor? Doesn't the can/adapter screw right onto the barrel threads? The barrel isn't threaded, the FSB is, and the FSB is pressed and pinned onto the end of a naked barrel. ![]()
